About
DEUTSCHE MESSE
Deutsche Messe AG is one of the world's leading trade fair companies. Founded in 1947 as a German government enterprise after the end of World War II, it emerged when the military government in the British-occupiedAmerica saw exports as an outlet to overcome economic devastation and cover war reparations. With the creation of Deutsche Messe AG, the first Export Fair was held in the city of Hannover, Germany; reporting very successful figures.
Over time, the sectors that made up the original Export Fair have specialized and become independent fairs such as LIGNA, IAA and Hannover Messe. These in turn became exhibition platforms around the world.
Currently, each year Deutsche Messe AG organizes more than 150 trade fairs and events in Germany and abroad, bringing together professionals from all nations who drive innovation and contribute to sustainability and prosperity through their solutions and cooperation. With an area of about 1 million square meters -500 thousand of them roofed-, the Deutsche Messe exhibition center in Hannover is positioned as one of the largest in the world.
